About the Temple

Sri Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple has been a sacred spiritual center for the past 28 years in the heart of Palani Malai Nagar, Villivakkam, Chennai. Built through the dedication and devotion of the local community, the temple stands today as a divine place of worship, peace, and unity. With the blessings of Lord Vinayagar and other powerful deities, the temple continues to guide devotees toward prosperity, harmony, and spiritual growth.

Presiding Deity

Ganesha (Sri Navasakthi Vinayagar)

Lord Vinayagar, the remover of obstacles and the God of auspicious beginnings, is the presiding deity of our temple. Devotees seek His blessings before starting new ventures, education, marriages, and important life events. His divine grace removes difficulties and fills life with success and positivity

Murugan

The symbol of courage, wisdom, and victory. Special Sashti poojas are performed with devotion.

Durga (Durgai Amman)

The embodiment of divine power who protects devotees and removes negative energies. Rahu Kalam poojas are conducted regularly.

Ayyappan

Worshipped with discipline and devotion, especially during the Mandala season and Makara Jyothi period.

Navagraha

The nine planetary deities bless devotees with harmony, favorable planetary influences, and well-being.

Kumbabhishekam History

Kumbabhishekam is the sacred consecration ceremony performed to energize and sanctify the temple and its deities through powerful Vedic rituals. It is a spiritually significant event that renews divine vibrations and strengthens the temple’s sacred presence.

First Kumbabhishekam – 14th June 1998

The First Kumbabhishekam of Sri Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple was solemnly conducted on 14th June 1998, marking the formal consecration and inauguration of the temple.

Second Kumbabhishekam – 25th April 2012

After years of devoted worship and service, the Second Kumbabhishekam was grandly performed on 25th April 2012 to rejuvenate and re-energize the temple

Sri. Sri Ramulu. V & Smt. Papamma

The temple was established through the devotion, dedication, and spiritual commitment of Sri. Sri Ramulu. V and Smt. Papamma, whose deep faith in Ganesha (SriNavasakthi Vinayagar) inspired them to create a sacred space for worship and community unity.

With humility and perseverance, they laid the foundation for the temple, overcoming challenges through prayer and determination. Their vision was not just to build a temple, but to create a spiritual center where devotees could gather, pray, celebrate festivals, and seek divine guidance.
